Just talking with Moonie last night inspired me to do two different piece. They won't be going in my portfolio, but I just thought I'd post to share, since it's been a few days.
This came up because we were talking about overweight and "ugly" characters in cartoons. Wifey is thinking about doing a certain project (which I won't spill the beans on). And Ursula wanted to be drawn. I personally think it needs work, but not bad for a first attempt.
Now THIS one I'm debating about putting in my portfolio. However, there was another Bonkers piece I had planned for it. So we'll see. But yes, the impulse for this came about because of two things: The said previous conversation....And the fact I recently downloaded all the episodes to Bonkers. I've come to a conclusion....I like Lucky more than Miranda. Miranda is beautiful and nice, but she kind of lacks the charm that Piquel had. So when you compare them side by side, I can't help but find her...well, a smiggen boring. Plus, I thought he had more of a complexed personality.
And it's kind of sad that I find him more physically attractive, too. Haaaa.
I also have storyboards that I need to post....But I don't think I'll post them until I finished all that I wanted to do. Got three done...But I need to do at least three more pages. So expect that in the future!
Aaaand I'll probably be posting more art of Lucky in the future too. If I can just draw him the way I want him.
